A good friend of mine recently delivered me these fresh pecans….Took me an hour to remove the shells but will be well worth the wait. It’s Thanksgiving Ya’ll….. and it wouldn’t be complete without the perfect pecan pie as the finale to a good meal.
SOUTHERN STYLE PECAN PIE
3 eggs beaten, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 bottle dark Karo Syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 stick of butter flavored Crisco, 1 cup of whole pecans, Dash of Salt, 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Combine ingredients and pour into unbaked pie crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. (If needed place foil along the sides of the crust to prevent overbrowning). May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
