Riverstone

North of the Brazos River and south of Houston, you’ll find the master-planned community of Riverstone. This new Fort Bend County residential development is the brainchild of the same firm that built nearby Sienna Plantation and has so much going for it that it’s become a top choice among many homebuyers – so much so that it’s been ranked among the country’s best-selling master-planned communities since its inception.

Riverstone stretches across 3,700 acres in a beautiful, thickly wooded area and is just over half an hour’s drive south from Houston’s central business district. It has a lush waterfront setting, boasting around 200 acres of lakes, and also has 500 acres of open spaces, an extensive 20-mile network of hiking and biking trails, and more. Your home here can have a Missouri City or Sugar Land mailing address and Riverstone is expected to have around 6,000 homes upon build-out.

What’s Here

  • The 17-acre Club at Riverstone is the community’s premier recreation complex. The club features a waterpark, 8 tennis courts, an 8,000-sq.-ft. clubhouse that includes a state-of-the-art fitness center, a beautiful playground, and more. The community also has two other recreation centers.
  • Riverstone has numerous parks and playgrounds, some of them with waterfront views, and which are connected by walking trails. This includes a 3.5-acre dog park, which has a variety of facilities such as a pet-cleaning station.
  • The community offers an array of homes, including townhomes and custom homes, many of which are in a wooded setting. Homesites tend to be large, making them a popular option for those who value space.

Schools

Riverstone has the added advantage of being zoned for schools under the top-ranking Fort Bend Independent School District. The Fort Bend ISD schools here are:

  • Austin Parkway Elementary
  • Commonwealth Elementary
  • Settlers Way Elementary
  • First Colony Middle
  • Fort Settlement Middle
  • Lawrence E. Elkins High

These are considered some of the best schools not just in the Houston area, but in the country. As for private schools, Casa Dei Bambini Montessori is here and there are more than a few options in the surrounding areas.
